FUSION Survey: First Results

FUSION user survey first results are already available. Below we publish a snapshop of the preliminary survey results and a PDF version can be downloaded here.

If you have not taken the survey yet, please do so at http://fusion-workshop.questionpro.com/. Your input is greatly appreciated and can help adapting FUSION to the needs of the community.

Participation
The survey participants are almost equally distributed between two fields of application: Agriculture & Irrigation water management (35 %) and Fires ( 39 %).

Usage of remote sensing data
Participants' usage of existing remote sensing data has been widespread, with Modis, Aster and Landsat being the systems most commonly used.

Importance of requirements
So far the survey shows that IR and VIS requirements are weighted almost equally. One can also see, that users do not want to compromise between ground sampling distance and revisit time.

Infrared Data

One major advantage of FUSION is the availability of infrared data. The answers so far show that there is a great interest in this special feature of FUSION.
Data usage
Results show that potential FUSION users require satellite data multiple times each year yielding a considerable market potential.
